EMO Punk. Some people get confused when they hear an emo punk song. They can't tell if it's punk, pop, or rock. Truth is it's all three. Emo punk is a hybrid of all these genres.

Picture hard core punk in slow mo with pop punk riffs and lots of emotion. That's basically emo in a nut shell. Emo is short for emotion and it's easy to tell why. Most emo songs are generally love songs. Not happy love songs per say, but unhappy love songs.

Emo is a relativly unkown form of punk. It's not that emo is a new form of punk that's only been around for a few years, it's the fact that most emo bands are indie bands. Bands on small record lables that can't get the attention they deserve due to lack of funds. One day emo punk will get the attention it deserves.
